I can't believe no-one else has commented on this :p

This is really keen. It's good to see you tinker with the textures
again--the flat shaded Illustrator stuff just doesn't have the feel this
does (and since you're so good at it, it was a bummer to see you be away
from it so long -.- ). Other than that, umm, well.. all I can say (again)
is that it rocks ^.^

Take care! :)

Sorry that last post was so big!
so i wanted to try the materials and technique i used for that recent
Don Quixote picture on something furry. y'know, because i'm a furry
artist and all that ^_^ yay for 'sperimentation. It's watercolor, oil
pastel, colored pencil, some ink around the eyes, charcoal and
masking tape and is 8.5x11" I found that the masking tape adds this
nifty "birch bark" texture, kinda sorta.
Though really it's no wolf in particular. With some easy photoshop
tinkering, I could shade pretty much any pattern or colors onto him
to be any vaguely wolfish character. One thing I can't show you
except in person, however, is how the actual picture looks when held
up to light. You get this really stunning, gritty, black wolf
version. Merely inverting the image in photoshop doesn't reveal this
in the same way.
In comparison to the Don Quixote image, I liked using the pen to
focus the eye details in this one. So already, that's progress(!)

Wow, that's great. I love the different textures and the sense of life and
energy. He really seems to have fire in his eyes. Thanks for posting it!
