In mythology, a roc is a gigantic bird often resembling a rooster and
large enough to crush an elephant in one talon. But who says it can't
also be the whimsical mascot of an imaginary railroad? :)
I need to study some rail books... Do european railways use engines
that look that much like an old F-series EMD product?

La Grand Vitesse (LGV, France) definitely doesn't; the old Intercity
125s (billed to be capable of 125mph, England -- but the tracks couldn't
support it much) also...

Who gets to wash the bird droppings off the train <G>

On the negative side... Hope the logo isn't a roc carrying a train
off in its talons.... (bird carrying a large worm to feed the chicks?)
